The restaurant does not serve fresh parathas as they are made in bulk and heated in a tandoor when ordered. Many people are unaware of this, but as someone who has been dining in Murthal for the past 20 years, I always inform the waiter that I am aware of this practice and request a fresh paratha. While most establishments accommodate my request, this dhaba did not provide me with a fresh paratha despite my insistence.

Sat at the air cooled area. Extremely courteous staff and the mixed parathas were super duper. Suggested to half fry the onions before mixing them for superlative taste. The yogurt was quite sour but I did not mind. The coffee served is more milk than......More

Murthal is brimming with dhabas offering you hot tandoori paranthas served with loads of 'desi makhan' (white butter). Many of the big names have their services degraded over a period of time may be due to complacency. But Pehelwan's paranthas are still worth trying. And best part is the price is still very reasonable and give you a feel of sitting at dhaba. Also if you are tired, you can avail the facility of 'champi' or head massage there. And finish of the meal with 'meetha paan' from the outside kiosk.
