Alisal Ranch Grill - SOLVANG

I had an incredible birthday celebration at Alisal! It all began with a delicious BBQ the night before, followed by a hayride to a stunning pancake breakfast in the beautiful hills. I enjoyed canoeing on the lake, biking, swimming, and finishing the day with an amazing dinner. What a truly wonderful experience! A big thank you to everyone at Alisal Ranch for making it so memorable!

The grounds are absolutely picture-perfect. The views of the lake, the horses, and the farm animals create a serene atmosphere, and there are lovely grassy areas where you can enjoy time with your family. There are also great activities for kids, including crafts and games. The staff at the front desk are incredibly kind, and I must mention Brooks Garcia from sales—he truly stands out with his exceptional hospitality. I usually don’t write reviews, but after experiencing such outstanding service, I felt compelled to share my appreciation. You won’t regret visiting; you’ll only want to come back for more!

Alisal is a stunning resort, but unfortunately, the management leaves much to be desired. We truly appreciated the beautiful setting and the facility, but we encountered several issues. Our troubles began with confusion surrounding our reservations. When heavy rain damaged the golf course, they were dishonest about its availability. To top it off, we were overcharged on our bill. It’s a fantastic place to enjoy, but be sure to keep a close eye on your expenses and confirm everything they tell you—get it in writing.

Old school ranch with western charm and beauty. Jackets required at dinner sets the scene of a time gone by. The food is always excellent, in fact, we've never experienced anything mediocre on the breakfast or dinner menu. And the service is what you would expect. Horseback riding is just the beginning- both daily and after dinner activities help to keep the family having fun all day long without the need for television or devices. Excellent golf course and tennis/pickleball program. Just can't imagine a better way to spend one week of every year.

Cozy in winter, resplendent setting outdoors in nature in summer. Expert bartender Chris works the room. Waitstaff have there for years and are very friendly. Food is just perfect American comfort food but note they have some vegan options too like the quinoa vegetable bowl.
