Hotel Restaurant Le Saint Eloi

We went to Solignac for a concert and to the restaurant because they were offering a special menu for the intermission. The food was decent but below average, the quality of service definitely sub standard. We were told that this was caused by an employee...on a short term summer job. The bottle of wine we ordered arrived already ordered and there were a few other shortcomings. We won't renew that experience.

The newly changed Saint Eloi honours its authencity in simplicity motto. The courtyard was pretty but the food was awesome. One can only command Cyrille Pasquier's passion for the place and the locally sourced foods and recipes. The card is simple yet efficient and also...very seasonally marqued. Having been to many places round the world and tried a lot of the excellent but often dismissive and overpriced places, I was pleased to discover this gem. A worthy successor to the famed Mrs Faucher. Well done. Truly impressed

This was also our hotel and at the time, the only place to eat that was open. Although the food was good, the choice was limited and we thought overpriced.

We stopped here on our way to the south of France and couldn't fault the restaurant. Food was very good. The hotel was clean and what we expected we would stay here again

Very pleasant dining room: good range of menus and a la carte' items. Well cooked (our starters in particular were just superb), and well served.
