Tidewater Tavern - Solana Beach

I was disappointed to find the restaurant closed. I used to enjoy it every time we visited Solana Beach.

The view here is fantastic, and the fish tacos are excellent! Make sure to sit on the deck that faces the sea—you’ll really appreciate the sights. It’s a perfect location to watch the sunset and ponder the numerous oil rigs dotting the ocean. The sight of the barges coming in or waiting to dock is also quite interesting. Enjoy your time here; it’s a special place. Thank you, Tidewater Tavern, for the wonderful service from your staff!

The food was incredible. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. The kids really enjoyed the quesadilla, which was like a cheesy roll. The fish tacos were packed with flavor—definitely the best we had during our trip. And you can’t go wrong with the calamari appetizer!

Had a great Saturday afternoon meal in this local tavern and barbecue. Plenty of space inside and outside. Fried Calamari Steak appetizer is a must. Tasteful entrees, friendly service. I didn't cost the iced tea. Would recommend this for family, friends or couples-went to fletcher bay and go beach after it.

This local spot offers fantastic amenities, cold drinks, and delicious tacos. The atmosphere has been revamped to create an open-air vibe. You definitely need to check it out on your next visit to the pub!
