Although I'm on a low carb diet, I wish that they dressed the floor of the terrine with baked as well. it was still excellent. we're talking about the way back to this place that's been there for 75 years!
L.A has musto franc, san diego has red Tracton’s. old school perfection in cocktail, eating, service and ambiente.
This is a great place with supper club vibes. We enjoy the old school atmosphere and menu. They know how to make a good drink and a steak. It’s especially good on a cold or rainy night, compared to so many area restaurants that assume the weather will always be warm and still and are pretty unpleasant when it’s not.
It’s been a decade or almost two since going and it is the same in some ways and far far worse in others. The food was all over the place from really good to horrid. We even tried to get a turn back on the open faced Lobster Sando which was a Kitchen Nightmares level mess and got denied by the manager who said we should have complained earlier and he ate too much. No comp not even a table visit. Service wise if it was just on that a 1. However fairness our server was nice enough and tried. At the end the food was all over the place, the place super dated and the service was hit or miss. We dropped well over $600 for 5 and won’t go back again. Nice memory from back in the day but it is 100% not worth it as it stands today. Morton’s or something else if you want this Red Tractons is over as far as I am concerned. Sorry but you guys really really blew it. Whoever is the manager needs to clue in as people who drop the kind of money they charge aren’t scamming you on a sandwich.
The service is excellent. Food was hot and freshly prepared. Very enjoyable. Thank you.
