Mack’s Hot Chicken - Smyrna

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! It was only my second time dining here, but the family who runs it works incredibly hard and prepares the food with great skill. There may be a wait at times, but it is definitely worth it. Morgan is incredibly kind and the rest of the family is just as friendly. I can't wait to see how this restaurant grows in the future!

Mack's is unrivaled when it comes to hot chicken. A local co-worker recommended it to me over another hot chicken joint and I am so grateful she did. The flavors are phenomenal, with just the right amount of heat that actually enhances the taste rather than overwhelming it. I tried their fried okra and hot catfish and I am completely sold. I am willing to drive from West Nashville, passing by other famous hot chicken places like Helen's, Hattie's, and Prince's, just to dine at Mack's.

Loved the okra and the spice on all levels of the chicken. Mack Attack is not for the faint of heart!

Stopped in on my way back home to Texas for some Hot Chicken, and it was great! All the food was excellent and fried to perfection. The fried okra, fried pickles, and hot chicken tenders were especially good. Super nice folks as well. Highlyrecommended!

My mother-in-law wanted hot chicken for her 75th birthday dinner, so I decided to try out Mack's for the first time. I called ahead and the person who answered was very helpful, letting me pre-order what I needed. They informed me that everything is made to order and would take approximately 30 minutes. When I arrived, my order wasn't quite ready but they kindly offered for me to wait in my car while they brought it out to me. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. Just a heads up, the hot chicken is really hot so be prepared! We tried both medium and hot and both were excellent. We will definitely be returning to support this little restaurant again.
