Caffe I Viaggi - Smithfield

The coffee was decent, served quickly and with a friendly smile. However, the interior layout of the restaurant is not very inviting.

We stopped here for tea after shopping. My burger wasn't bad, but the chips were mediocre and there weren't many of them. My wife didn't enjoy her risotto.

Service was a little slow. Waitress didn't know what a bravo was although they had it on the menu. Hubby had Salt and pepper squid was a very small serving of dried shriveled squid pieces and for a main sized serving at $20.50 was altogether quite poor. Master 8 Pork ribs. Which were not what we were expecting at all very thick and meaty but a bit fatty, but not bad for $26.90. I had veal Oscar which was amazing, I thought it a little over priced at $29 but serving was huge. Altogether not a bad experience but not great either. Maybe we'll give it one more chance

Taste was okay, service was great, but the wait time for the food was extremely poor. For a place not so busy on a Tuesday night, it was rather disappointing.

We ordered the lunch special, flat head with salad for $10.90 and what we got was very disappointing. A tiny piece of deep fried burnt fish. One of the meals, the fish was not fresh. We gave feedback to the staff who were apologetic and that was it. I have eaten at Cafe I Viaggi a number of times and this will be my last. Very very disappointed. Will never return!
