Pilots - Slough

I really enjoyed my meal here. I had a beef burger with chips and a coke. I have to say, the burger was the nicest burger I have had in a very long time. It was cooked to perfection and the chips were so good! They were so flavourful. Not only was the food delicious, the service here was really good. I had the pleasure of being served by the waiter Charles who was absolutely lovely! He was very hardworking and incredibly friendly. I had changes to my burger that I ordered and quite often other restaurants get it wrong but it was exactly as I ordered it here. I usually don’t eat at airport restaurants but decided to treat myself today and I’m so glad I did. It was a really wonderful experience, and one I shall definitely be doing again. : .

This restaurant is functional and has a pleasant atmosphere with power sockets, comfortable chairs, and a surprisingly not too crowded for a Friday evening before half-term holidays. However, the food is very average. I ordered the eggs Benedict and found it to be just as mediocre as what you would get at Wetherspoons. The dish was bland with a thin piece of ham on each muffin and a scant amount of hollandaise sauce. At £18 (including a small bottle of Coke Zero), the price is more than double what you would pay at Wetherspoons for a similar dish and not worth it in terms of taste.

There were fruit flies all over the place. We tried to inform a staff member, but they ignored us and walked away. Absolutely revolting! We will not be returning.

We came in for a drink a few nights ago it was busy but we got a high table and service was quick and friendly. Special shout out to the lady with blonde hair (sorry we didn't get her name) who was particularly helpful when we asked a question about the Heathrow rewards scheme her help was very much appreciated.

We ate here before our flight to New York at the end of November. Charles was our waiter and was fabulous. He was very attentive and funny and helped kickstart our holiday off. Great food. He needs a pay rise!!! Would eat here again when next at Terminal 5!!
