Spigola D'oro - SINISCOLA

Localino alla buona nel centro del paesino La Caletta con tavoli all’esterno. Pesce fresco e cucinato in maniera classica. Poca scelta ma prezzi modici e servizio veloce. In meno di un’ora abbiamo mangiato senza aver prenotato due ottimi Piatti di fritto misto con patatine e due birre per 45 euro in totale. Consigliato per spizzicare dei piatti di pesce fresco a buon prezzo.

Pescheria con alcuni tavoli fuori x gustare le loro prelibatezze! Qualità del pesce ottima! Abbiamo preso ostriche,2 crudi(molto apprezzata l’idea di mettere olio,sale,pepe in una pipetta con limone a parte), fritto misto croccante e asciutto Personale gentile e attento! Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo! Consigliatissimo!!!

Really enjoyed our meal here last night : it is a no frills ,casual setting with amazingly freshly cooked seafood , which is exactly what we wanted . Inside u can see all the different types of fish in a display . It had a real family vibe . I had the calamari with a light crispy batter no 6 on menu my partner had the sword fish both tasted delicious loved it and can’t wait to go back .

Came for dinner on a saturday night, the place was packed. i had a reservation for 8:30 but we were running a little late so i called and asked if it was okay if we came later. they were a little agitated, understandably so given that it was such a busy night, but still gave us the table at 8:45. the service was really, really bad. the waiters kept looking us in the eye and not stopping by our table, and this went on for about 25 minutes. the menu is simple yet pricey. it didn’t take too long for the food to come, though once it did, i wasn’t amazingly impressed. i ordered the grilled branzino with fries (everything comes with fries). it came whole, and after cutting through it i wasn’t too thrilled. it was good, but not excellent. for the four of us our total came out to almost 75 euro, and i don’t think it was worth it given the poor service and mediocre food.

Went Spigola d'Oro this evening and myself and partner found the food to be poor. The starter we shared was OK octopus, muscles, prawns, squid seafood stick I think, in vinegrette. For my main i had deep fried calamari octopus my partner had deep fried whitebait, prawns calamari all accompanied with chips we found the main to be poor tasted oily. Particularly poor was the whitebait cold and not crispy at all. Calamari was tasteless and stodgy. No offer of sauces such as a Mediterranean classic alioli seems like the oil needed changing in the deep fat fryer as there was a lot of dark oily residue on the plates. Unpleasant food, couldnt wait to get out of there. Have eaten much better in Canary Islands and London.
