I’ve heard a lot about a breakfast spot called Toast Box and finally decided to give it a try. And guess what? I absolutely loved it! **Location and Ambience:** You’ll find Toast Box branches scattered all over Singapore. It’s one of those few eateries I highly recommend visiting, primarily due to its interior and ambiance. The place has a grand appearance, and as soon as you step inside, you feel rejuvenated by the beautiful white walls and bright lighting. **Food:** The food is delightful. I haven’t sampled everything on the menu, but I did try the peanut butter toast and coffee. I’m a big fan of the peanut butter here; it’s creamy and fresh, almost as if it was made just moments ago. The coffee is good as well, but a word of advice: don’t forget to stir! I neglected to do so initially and ended up with a cup of coffee that was all sugar at the bottom. **Service:** This is a self-service eatery. You’ll need to wait in line to place your order. Once you do, you’ll receive your drink right away—whether it’s coffee, tea, or Milo—but for food like toast or other items, you may have to wait a little longer, though not too long. **Cost:** It’s also budget-friendly, and that’s one of the key reasons I enjoyed it so much.
Everything about this outlet was pleasant. I ordered Kopi C with Butter Toast, and the Butter Toast was delicious, with just the right amount of butter on perfectly toasted bread. My only complaint was that I received Teh C instead of Kopi C. Although the tea was tasty, I decided not to request my Kopi after all. I suggest paying closer attention to customers' orders in the future. Overall, I was satisfied with the little break I had at this Toast Box.
Toastbox is a café owned by BreadTalk, featuring a charmingly local ambiance that serves traditional Singaporean breakfast. They use white bread, which sets them apart from Ya Kun. The quality of their food is quite good and consistently meets expectations. I particularly enjoy their local coffee and tea. However, do keep in mind that their prices are not as cheap as typical local coffee shops.
