Moved to simi over a year ago and found this place. Their vegan and vegetarian options are extremely tasty and satisfying. they have the best, firmest and most tasteful tofu that I have ever eaten. Edit: I wrote this review without asking enough or reading other reviews. I was not aware that they are fooling in their practices for their vegan options. I'm now wondering what they're a vegetarian. very disappointing. I'm vegetarian, but my wife is vegan. for what it is worth, I still stand by my review of taste and tofu. updated by the previous review on 2022-07-19

The restaurant clearly lacks an understanding of what vegan means. When I inquired about their vegan early roll, they mentioned that they use a small amount of egg to seal it, insisting that it was acceptable because it's just a tiny bit. I explained that this wasn't actually vegan, but they just shrugged it off and insisted it was fine. Unbelievable! I also ordered the vegan banh mi, and they put mayo on it. I don't trust any of their vegan options and strongly recommend staying away from them just in case.
