This restaurant in Silver Spring has the best Indian food, hands down. Although the menu is limited, everything they serve is excellent. As someone from India who has tried Indian restaurants across the country, I highly recommend this place.
Their food is SO GOOD!! The mango lassi's are only $3! It's an incredible deal. The rice is fragrant and cooked to perfection. I usually get the chicken and lamb combo- it's deliciously charred and cooked so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. You can get it over rice or salad. Very high quality food- so glad this business is doing well during the pandemic!
I used to live in NYC and little India was our go-to spot for all events. The Paneer dish at Khyber's completely impressed me - it tasted like some of the best I've ever had. Now it's at the top of our list in SS. The service was also fantastic. We placed an order right before closing, which is usually not recommended in the restaurant industry, but the food was still hot and packaged with care. We will definitely be back to Khyber Kitchen soon.
Crikey mate, this is some good tucker! EVERYTHING was really delicious and the best tasting take out and home cooked meals I've had for eons! I loved the tender and flavorful lamb and chicken tikkas but the dishes in sauces really bowled me over. Peshawarri Chicken Curry $19) was probably my favorite, the sauce flavors are delectable. Butter chicken was a simpler flavor profile but great if you're looking for a mild, creamy taste. This it isn't a cheap takeout though and you could say it's expensive once you add the basics. Eg.Butter Chicken starts at $19 but add rice, nann and a Coke and you're at $29. I can see I'm going to blow my restaurant budget on KK but the food is twice as good as most I've been eating so I'd rather have fewer feeds but much better quality. One thing I will do next time I'm ordering delivery or pickup is double the meat for an extra $9 and get an extra rice or two then you could get 2 or 3 meals out of one dish. The folks at KK are really lovely too. I screwed up the tip and when I tried to fix it, they told me not to worry about it, just please order again! Awww...
