Nancy's Kitchen - Silver Spring

I visited this restaurant multiple times, hoping for a better experience, but it never happened. I just can't comprehend how anyone could rate it as good or excellent. The wait times are lengthy without any apology from the staff, and there seems to be a lack of effort to make customers feel welcome. Waiters walk by without even acknowledging you. The food is quite basic—mostly processed and lacking in charm. Even requests for standard items like extra butter or a simple addition like a pickle are often refused or come with an extra charge. It’s unfortunate because the location is fantastic, and a truly excellent restaurant would thrive there.

I ordered the Veggie Sub with fries, and it was excellent! The fries were also really tasty. The restaurant is located at Leisure World, right next to Subway. Parking can be challenging at peak times, especially during lunch, but the place is accessible for both walkers and wheelchair users. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Generous portion. Eggs over easy made correctly. Waiter is a long time employee that makes you feel welcome and willing to take time to talk.

The health department needs to shut it down!! Reason being, 1 they have racist bad attitude, 2 the food is unhealthy and when you tell them you don't want bacon or sausage they give you tainted food in exchange, 3 poor professionalism laziness and don't k ow how to prepare healthy meal. They need to be inspected and shut down IMMEDIATELY!!! A NEW RESTURANT SHOULD REPLACE THIS ONE THAT SERVES AND CARES FOR ALL CUSTOMERS THE SAME THESE ARE CLOSED MINDED PIGS.

The food: far to neat on the plate with no grease to speak of made this feel more like a microwaved dish than standard diner fair. The portions were lacking and so was the flavor. Had to salt everything. honestly probably pretty diet friendly. Rating of 1 dry potato out of a possible 5. The service: 3 disgruntled line cooks out of a total of five only for the fact the wait staff was nice. The atmosphere: I am fairly certain we joined a church crowd or something. Everyone was to quiet and the conversations were dull. Not to mention the kitchen didn't make a sound? Where's the gossip? The yelling? Rating: 1 out of 5 old people sitting at a church pew.
