The staff is friendly, courteous, and truly dedicated to providing great service. I highly recommend you give it a try. Even after three years since my last visit, I still think about how delicious the Prime Rib is. I’m considering a 1,800-mile road trip just to dine there again!
I've never written a negative review for a restaurant before, but this place truly deserves it, along with the numerous others it has received. I called in a to-go order for a Philly steak sandwich and chicken cracklins at 4:07 and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived at 4:25, but didn’t get my food until 4:44. It shouldn’t take 37 minutes to prepare a sandwich and fry a few items. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all—there were maybe six people at the bar and two tables with two diners each. No one even apologized for the wait. I've given this place nearly ten chances, hoping that the service would improve or that the food would make up for the poor service. However, I won’t spend another dime here and will advise others not to waste theirs either.
Upon arrival, we were greeted but not informed that there was a special menu for Mother's Day. We were seated and handed regular menus without any mention of changes. We placed a drink order and began looking at the menu, although we were already leaning towards my husband's choice of steak and my desired southwest salad. Unfortunately, we didn’t see either of these options on the menu we received. When our server returned, we asked about the menu and she immediately became defensive about their specialty menu and the manager's decision. My husband inquired, "Isn’t this a steakhouse?" to which she replied, "Yes, it's a steakhouse, but this is all we're serving today. If you don’t like it, you are welcome to leave; other people have." We discussed it and ultimately decided we needed to feed our kids. When she returned with our drinks, she asked if we had made a decision on whether to stay or leave. We chose to stay and ordered. Then, my daughter went out to the car to grab something, and unbeknownst to us, the doors were locked around 8:30 PM. She was unable to get back in, tried knocking, but no one heard her. Even though it was only a few minutes, she panicked and was in tears by the time other patrons left and she could re-enter. It was quite frightening for her. The food was decent, and the kids were pleased with their meals. However, the specialty menu didn't offer much in terms of healthy options, as everything seemed to come with potatoes or rice. When we inquired about vegetables as a side, we were told there were no substitutions or changes; meals were prepared as-is. I’m sure everyone there had a long day, but we felt completely caught off guard and didn’t deserve the defensive tone in response to our questions, especially considering they were supposed to be open until 10 PM.
I have been here one other time and I was so excited to come back. It was a horrible experience this time. The soup was so salty I couldn?t eat it, the shrimp was over seasoned and over cooked, the red potato looked like it was thrown in microwave pusheddown with a fork and a pound of pepper on top with nothing else. No butter, sour cream anything. Steak was tough and no flavor. This was the worst experience I?ve ever had eating out. The free breakfast at out hotel we just had was ten times better whichmade me think to write a review. The only good thing was the salad. Save your money and eat at Burger King across the street.
The food was fantastic, and the steak was incredibly tender. I don't understand all the negative reviews. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly, contributing to a wonderful atmosphere. We finished off the evening with some gambling next door. It's a great place overall—keep it up!
