Classic local spot, recommend picking up a sandwich to go and heading over to Quinsigamond State Park to enjoy by the water. They also have an outdoor seating area just outside the deli. Solid sandwiches for great value, fast service.
A very delicious, local and family owned Deli. Their food is homemade and very tasty at that. I've had a good portion of the menu and all of it tastes great, including the egg salad. Pricing is reasonable, not too cheap, but not overly expensive either. The pricing sits in the area where you'd expect it to be for quality, local, family owned food. Bread is always fresh, ingredients seem to be on the quality side. People are friendly. Selection is vast. The hot Italian meals, cold subs and warm grinders cannot be beat. They're on par with other local family owned deli's. They can be busy at times, but that is a good thing. Shows that they are in demand and more important people are willing to wait. My only gripe is they aren't open too late. But, that's To be expected from a family owned/operated deli.
I've been coming here for as long as I can remember, and I'm still not disappointed! The consistency is remarkable! I feel full for a week after eating here. For those who are new and don’t know the process, if you place your order over the phone, you’ll need to check in when you arrive. They will call your name once your order is ready. In case you're wondering, a "Regatta" refers to an Italian dish. If you want to make any changes to your order, just let them know. If you decide to place your order when you get there, you'll still have to wait in line until they call your name. It's a small place, so you'll be standing closely with other patrons, but you won't find anything like it anywhere else! It's definitely worth the effort to find parking! I give it 5 out of 5 stars!
I live in Georgia, and whenever I visit Worcester, this restaurant is a must-visit. They excel in Italian cuisine, but everything they serve, whether it's a grinder, sub, or sandwich, is made with the same amazing touch. You really have to try it! I typically order a ham and cheese with lettuce, tomato, onion, and hot peppers. Now I think I’ll have to go back tomorrow because I'm craving another one!
