Whisk Dessert - Shreveport

I ordered the Cookie Pastry Dozen basket and a Doma chocolate to be delivered to my workplace, and we were certainly not disappointed. Each item in the delightful basket was individually packaged, making it easy to see the assorted pastries. I had requested on-time delivery and received updates about my order’s estimated arrival time. Everyone loved the cookies and pastries we tried!

I recently visited Whisk for the first time and tried a variety of items. The interior felt airy, but I couldn't find any tables to sit at. Did I miss them, or have they been removed? The selection was a bit more limited than I expected; for instance, they don’t offer as much variety as Julie Annes. However, the displays were neat and visually appealing. The server was pleasant and friendly. While the prices are on the higher side for cookies and slices of cake at such places, Whisk’s prices are comparable to other bakeries and cupcake shops. My favorite item was the lemon cake—it had a strong lemon flavor and a wonderfully creamy texture. I would definitely return just for the lemon cake. I also enjoyed the peanut butter cookie and the snickerdoodle cookie.

Disappointing. There was very little selection, and when I inquired about the freshness of the few desserts available, I was told they were all made from scratch. When I asked for clarification, I got a confusing reply that they were made "by scratches." That didn't really answer my question. Our party of four ordered different items, and unfortunately, none of them were fresh.

Whisk is so good! You have the best chocolate chip cookies in town. I'm disappointed that they stopped serving gelato because it's hard to find here and was really good. I understand they're serving sandwiches now, I haven't tried them yet, but will be back!

Headed over to Whisk Dessert Bar in Shreveport to try out a few things. Now, I'll preface this by saying there isn't a whole lot of parking in front of the storefront BUT, they're next to other businesses and across from a shopping plaza so if you really wanted to try it, there's no excuse not to. The interior is very bright and airy and it's a great use of space with chairs, merchandise and a very long bakery counter. Everything is on display and is a treat for the eyes! The service was quick and friendly.There were a lot of desserts available but I decided to keep it simple. I got three cookies: lemon crinkle, brown butter snickerdoodle and triple chocolate chip. These were some of the softest, chewiest cookies I've ever had from a bake shop. I absolutely loved those cookies and would order them again. I also ordered the confetti cake jar. It was such a cute concept and was so fun to eat, (and yes, share a little lol). The cake itself was a little dry, so I'm not sure if I'd eat that again but I'd try other things.Know before you go: they're closed Sunday and Monday, but open from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday.I would definitely go back and try some of their other desserts soon and cannot wait to do so!
