What an incredible transformation! to say this pub needed something dc is an understatement. the refurb was made beautiful, while the characteristics and character of this pub were preserved from the 16th century. in the last months we have eaten several times, and eating was consistently exceptional the sunday roasts are delicious, and the homemade burgers are now simply the best in the city. but what really makes the red lion superb is the personal; friendly, welcoming and attentive. we have visited a few times with our toddler daughter in the tow, and they always go out of the way to make us welcome. we feel very happy to live in the footsteps of such a fantastic family friendly pub. we look forward to many more pleasant visits in the coming years.

This restaurant is a very welcoming spot with delicious meals served promptly. I appreciate the mixture of regular customers and new diners that come through. The presence of dogs is also a lovely touch.

The staff at this restaurant were wonderful, engaging in friendly conversations with us and giving lots of attention to my dog. We enjoyed our favorite appetizer, shrimp cocktail, followed by a delicious ribeye steak with peppercorn sauce. It was a perfect dining experience that we can't wait to repeat.

My friends and I visited this restaurant last Sunday and had a delicious meal. The food was hot and there were many different properly cooked vegetables. I was very impressed. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was cozy and warm, with a lovely open fire. The restaurant is also dog-friendly. The renovation of the restaurant was fantastic. Thank you for a job well done.
