Vik's Kitchen Shimla

We had a great experience at Vik's. After a whole day of travelling and ending up at disappointing tourist trap restaurants, it seems like a blessing the experience we had at Vik's Kitchen. First, the place was very clean. The washroom especially was sparkling. We ordered Paneer Butter Masala, Dal Makhni and Naan. They said it will take 15-20 minutes for food to get prepared. The food actually arrived in 15-20 minutes. I never expected that it was going to be the best Paneer Butter Masala I ever had in my life. It was not over spiced, there was no oil floating around as you see in most restaurants. Dal Makhni was good. It was plain and simple without the usual heaviness you get at most places. The Naans we had, there were really delicious. They were soft but crunchy, with a smoky flavour. But the Naan service was slow. The bill came to Rs. 700 for 4 people. So around Rs. 175 per person. I think this is value for money. Our waiter was a tall broad shouldered guy. He was extremely polite, and gentle when serving. He answered our questions to the best of our satisfaction. Lastly before going I bought a dark forest pastry which was priced Rs. 79. It tasted good. So by far this has been one of the best places I have had food in Shimla.

Great food with great quantity, great taste and huge number of verities . On time dilevery. Just stay at your hotel and leave it to vik's kitchen. Vikrant (the owner) himself was taking orders on phone and manges the order until it's delivered 5 stars to vikrant also.
