Traditional Japanese Ijakaya. Grilled fish was very special.
Great lunch for under ¥1,000. Grilled fish, rice, miso soup, pickles, and mugi tea. They grill the fish in a traditional pit, in the center of this gorgeous space. I docked a star, however, because it's not English-friendly (which is absolutely there right to be). There is a sign at the register when you first walk in to order and get a ticket that says English is not used, and you have to bring a Japanese-speaking friend. There's also no pics on the menu. So know that going in if you can't speak or read Japanese.
This restaurant provides the grill and steam , raw sea food (sashimi is good but they just allow speak Japanese language only If u want to go maybe find the local to here. Around 10 years before I just order other table dish and fish to order but my memories was very yummy I will suggest they can employ know English local to do.
The food was fresh and delicious, but we had a stressful experience as the staff were shockingly rude. We were interrupted in the middle of a conversation by a staff member and told that speaking non-Japanese language was annoying. This was quite surprising as we were not even having a loud conversation. Even though, the food was great, I'd suggest not going there in groups or make an effort to speak Japanese.
