Minami Indo Dining Nakano - 渋谷

A small restaurant in size . But many things to offer on the platter . I would say one of the best restaurants i have had food in recent times . The flavors were authentic to that of southern India. The chef and the staff are also welcoming they do serve very good food. Indeed worth visiting.

This may be the worst service I have experienced in a long, long while. From the moment we entered the restaurant, the owner’s attitude was horrible He blatantly showed that he was disinterested in serving us and that he would rather sleep (photo attached). At one point, we had to shout to wake him up and order our dishes. This may explain why the restaurant was empty during prime weekday lunch time. I think the dishes we ordered were generally good, but completely overshadowed by the terrible service. We will never visit this place again. There are just so many other great Indian restaurants in Tokyo. Just not this one!

We just finished a take away from Minami Indo Dining Nakano, was super good, great taste and lots of flavor, great selection of dishes, and all my favorites. Great selection for both meat lovers and vegetarians. Sorry no photos this time, just started eating it and totally forgot about taking a photo.

The best south indian flavour I tasted so far. The biryani rice consistency was perfect. Tasted authentic taste of Rasam.

Very nice atmosphere. Heavy on the Indian decoration and two of the staff were pretty clearly from South India. No Wi-Fi, and I forgot to count the number of tables, though I guess it's about 30 seats. Not a curable problem, but the location is pretty far from any station. I was on my bike, so not a problem for me, but there wasn't much bike parking if several people have come together. Very authentic South Indian food, and one of people I was eating with has familiarity and knows for sure. I had a regular curry set, and though the base was thin I thought it was quite good overall. The naan was tasty and skillfully cooked oh, and there were a couple of bonus foods included, spicy pickles and a kind of croquette. Salad was slightly above-average. Overall I can give it a high four stars. Had a Dosa on a second visit, and it was also excellent. I'm still not so crazy about the coconut.
