Gyu-kaku Japanese Bbq Dining

I absolutely love this place! It’s my go-to spot for date nights, girls' nights, solo evenings, or simply to enjoy some great food and drinks.

There was a wait of about 30-40 minutes, but I didn’t mind; the place was bustling, and I was looking forward to the meal. My waitress was very pleasant and attentive, which added to the positive experience. However, I have to admit that the food didn’t quite meet my expectations. It might have been due to the restaurant's busy schedule that day, but I found that while each dish arrived hot, they lacked depth of flavor and tended to be on the salty side. I can’t say I particularly loved any of the items I tried. On a positive note, my waitress and the two servers who came on after her were all fantastic. The standout for me was the green tea ice cream, which I absolutely loved. This was my first visit to Gyu-Kaku, and I appreciated the availability of street parking as well as parking within the restaurant plaza. Overall, this was my experience, but perhaps it was just an off day for the kitchen.

Above average quality of meat for this type of BBQ. Highly recommend!

We visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening during happy hour. The hostess, Gabby, initially informed us that there would be a 15-minute wait, but when we mentioned that we were fine with a round table, she promptly seated us. Our server, Jaime, was pleasant, but towards the end of our meal, we felt a bit neglected, and it became awkward to ask for the bill and order another round of steaks. The bathrooms were clean, and from our table, we had a view of the back of the restaurant, where the floor appeared relatively tidy. We decided to create our dinner à la carte, ordering garlic noodles, beef bibimbap, bistro sirloin, hanger steak, and shabu steak!

My girlfriend and I went here on our 5th anniversary after trying a few different AYCE places to eat at (other places were closing or too long of a wait) and it was BUSY. Our initial server was very busy with other tables, but Andy took over and was great! Very friendly, great attitude, great service, and great food. Thank you for a positive end to our night, Andy!
