Booked online, had confirmation email, but when we arrived wasn't booked in. No probs got a table anyway. Ordered a chicken meal which I pressume would be breast but was in fact on the bone- my fault for not checking. One piece was fine, the other piece was so hard I couldn't get it of the bone. I ordered Eaton mess for desert which was basically a dish of yogurt with bits of meringue in it. The service was good, the food poor.

Very cold in the restaurant. Main issue was the extensive wait for food. Despite not being very busy our order was misplaced meaning a 45 minute wait. By way of apology we were offered complimentary coffees but these did not materialise.

Slightly disappointing food-wise this visit. My confit duck skin should have been crispier and my fondant chocolate did not have a gooey middle. However, our waitress was very apologetic and rectified the situation with a different pud that I wasn't charged for. Still enjoyed our visit.
