There were several hard spots on the potato, and the tri-tip seemed to be about 2 ounces of leftover trimmings from previous orders. Others in my party went for the basic BBQ combo, and none of us were particularly impressed. The meat was decent, but the sides were just okay. Regrettably, I wouldn’t choose to return. If you’re looking to order BBQ meat to-go, it might be suitable, but I had hoped for a better experience. It would be great to have a quality BBQ place in town, especially on the north side of Redding.
This was our second visit for breakfast at this restaurant. The first time, a few weeks ago, they had run out of biscuits, which we were eager to try with their gravy. Instead, we enjoyed the gravy on some sourdough toast, and it was quite delicious. Today, we experienced one of the best breakfasts I've had out. We ordered the corned beef hash, which came on a bed of excellent hash browns, along with two eggs cooked medium (though they were just a tad underdone), hash browns with onions, biscuits, and gravy, plus a cup of coffee. Everything was executed brilliantly! Amanda provided fantastic service, and we love the cozy ambiance of the log cabin setting. Our heartfelt thanks to the chef, Amanda, and for being open when we were craving a meal! Blessings!
The pulled pork sandwich I had was the best I've ever tasted. Our waitress, Kat, was fantastic and took excellent care of us.
This restaurant is truly one of the best BBQ spots in Northern California. There's no fuss, no pretension, and no extravagance—just incredibly tasty meats and sides served by friendly people who made us feel welcome and satisfied. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30.
