Pelagica - SESTRI LEVANTE

Probably one of the overall best places to have dinner in Siestre Levante. This family run semi upscale establishment pffers both a magnificant sunset, fantastic food (don’t miss the tuna grilled to perfection) and friendly service. Also a great place for an apertivo.

While the location is certainly wonderful, the food quality is below average. Some very oily pasta with some mussels were followed by a half cooked grilled calamari and ice cream out of the box. At the end the bill was 185, for the two of us. Value for money is questionable.

If there's a negative option, I'll use it. So, we arrived with our 4yr old son. He was somehow, not being himself and started crying as soon as we arrived. Firstly, I tried to console him, but couldn't, then later my husband brought him out to calm him down. When they came back, my son was slightly subtle and requested to drink water, calmer than before. But apparently, as soon as they came back, the owner told my husband that if he continues crying, it's best that we leave the restaurant! I didn't know until he came to our seats and immediately took his stuffs. It's that how you treat your customers?? We were not even offered a solution!! How absurd is that!!! We are very reasonable people, and understand the situation very well!! There are outdoor seats, perhaps, it would be better if he asked if we would like to move outside. All it takes was, MANNERS!!! A simple polite gesture to ask if there's anything he can help to make our situation better!! No, he decided right away, that we should leave!!! We didn't do anything, only because a child was having a meltdown and we the parents, were trying to calm him down!! That's extreme rudeness!!!! If he could have just asked, whether or not we'd like other table that might help my son feels better, we might even decide to leave on our own!!! Coming from the owner, how absurd!! NEVER EVER WE ARE GOING BACK, AND DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDING TO ANYONE!!! There are many better restaurants out there, with much better services!!!

Appena finito il pranzo e siamo stati molto soddisfatti. posto molto bello essenziale con personale molto cordiale preparato e gentile. le porzioni molto giuste e di ottima qualità. si sente la freschezza della materia prima lavorata con cura e rispetto. ottimo vino della casa. dessert freschi e molto speciali originali. Raccomando vivamente se si passa vicino sestri fermarsi al pelagic.
