Villa Contessa Rosa - Serralunga d'alba

Restaurant located inside the hotel complex of the Fontanafredda winery, a really suggestive location, a system of shared appetizers (made for me in a vegetarian version) that I really appreciated very much, especially for the quality of the ingredients, the main dish very good borage-filled ravioli, fantastic wine list, probably shared with the starred restaurant located on the opposite side of the building, I was really in the mood for a good Barbaresco and even though it was not the perfect wine for the dinner I chose I ordered it with the advice of the Sommelier, very prepared on local products, not very confident towards me but I noticed that with other habitual diners he was much more talkative. Correct account and in line with when I ate and drank.

On wine trip to Piemond I was recommend this restaurant and I was delighted with the food and service extensive wine list at very reasonable price will go back.

A nice Winery overnight stop in Piemonte With tour of the Cellars, wine shop, beautiful gardens and Nice restaurants.

From start to finish the food and service was wonderful. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful and selections of wines great. The service was friendly, personal and quick. It is difficult to even describe all the dishes I had as each one stood out on its own. But for me it was the dessert which was unbelievable and as a previous reviewer mentioned, we also asked for a second plate. I would not hesitate in suggesting this place to anyone visiting the area.

We booked by chance, not knowing what to expect. The menu was a surprise. Everything was so delicious, about 10 different items. The desert, we asked for MORE!. The price we thought was ridiculously cheap, We had paid the total amount per person for just one plate of pasta with shavings of truffles at another restaurant. Dining is casual. There is an Old winery which is open to visitors for wine tasting. We had our own car, so we went on our own, not with a tour operator.
