The waitress brought three of the four dinners for the four of us and then just forgot to bring the fourth. I saw the plate in the kitchen and the kitchen workers were too busy talking to even figure out who that plate belonged too. I had to ask where my dads dinner was for her bring it. He was supposed to get mashed potatoes and the waitress said they were making it. They never showed up. The waitress never came back so we had to go up to the register to get our check and then gave us attitude about the potatoes. Good food if you don't mind waiting eternity.
This place is now called Downtown Diner. I wish I'd known that. The place we originally wanted to go to was closed so we tried this place. The service was good. The inside is clean. The food however was not good. The open face turkey sandwich is just cold cut turkey with a packet of brown gravy over it. Incredibly salty with absolutely no flavor. The mashed potatoes and fries were adequate but nothing special. Super disappointing birthday lunch.
Went for brunch on a Sunday, it was delicious. Tried the blueberry French toast. Great portion size. Will definitely be back!
So another negative review for this place. Went down around noon on the 25th. Not very crowded. Maybe 3 tables when we walked in. Told we could sit anywhere. Sat next to the south glass windows. More on these disgusting windows in a second. I ordered an ice tea, my wife ordered a Diet Coke. She could tell immediately it was flat. No bubbles. When the waitress came back she told her, I'll have water instead. She ordered Biscuits Gravy, I ordered a Rueben sandwich. Waitress came back in a few telling my wife the biscuits won't be ready for another 15 minutes, not a huge deal but she decided on a burger instead. Another 10 minutes went by and the waitress said they don't have Swiss for my Reuben. Ok, I'll take the pimento cheese. After 15-20 minutes she finally sees my wife put the flat Diet Coke off to the side, she now remembers about the water. Minutes later (not sure how long) we see our food sitting under the warming oven. Waitress is busy talking to somebody at the entrance, girl who's the cook, other waitress, nobody tells her our foods up there. Finally the other waitress (she was doing a good job) must have seenMe turned around in my chair and says something to our waitress. She brings us our food we told her we'd like ketchup mustard. Never brought it. Went back to talking to the guy in the front and now she's sitting down with him. Super! Wife gets up and asks the other waitress behind the counter for them. Jeez. Won't be back. Really an ordinary nothing burger, fries tasted like they were frozen and super bland. Lots of other restaurants now in Senoia that are way better. So a follow up to the nasty windows we sat in front of. Spider webs, spider eggs InThe corners, cob webs. And just plain dirty. Might want to change the burned out bulbs that are strung across the ceiling as well. Have a little pride in your business that has plenty of competition.
Chicken fried steak, black eye peas, collards. Country cooking long needed in Senoia.
