I hadn\'t been in this restaurant for almost years (forget what its name was then), but it was still recognizable, same bar stools, same tables even some of the painting and signs on the walls. My wife and I went for breakfast as this...restaurant closes in the afternoon for some reason. Typical selection of small medium and large breakfasts with choice of meats. My wife had a medium and I had a Cheese omelette, with (cheddar) which wasn\'t worth the extra dollar. Typical two pieces of toast, coffee and hash browns or home fries. I was glad I chose the hash browns, less carbohydrates. My wife had the medium breakfast and could not finish it. My only suggestion is they could be more frequent with asking if you want more coffee, otherwise a typical small town breakfast experience. Quite economical, it cost us less than including tip.

Breakfast places come and go in Lakefield. We\'ve been to Debbie\'s about times. Friendly service, food is good and not expensive. Locals flock to the place and it can be quite crowded.

Quaint home-style happy atmosphere. Just like Mom\'s kitchen with basic kitchen decor. Counter bar seating and tables. Very clean and tidy. Daily newspaper is available to read while you wait for your meal. Menu items are typical of a breakie and lunch cafe with a...home cook touch. Service was excellent! Very efficient and still took a moment to chat. Portions are generous. Special orders are not difficult. Prices are very good for the quality and portion. Parking on the street was easy. Especially recommend breakfast however lunch was good as well. Child friendly. Open Saturday to Thursday; and to on Friday.
