Loved the traditional ground beef and egg but also the chicken, veggie and others. Everything looked fabulous but went with the tacos and were not disappointed. We loved the chicken and carnitas tacos with the mild yet flavorful green aji sauce, lime and pico de Gallo. To drink, I was delighted to savor the freshly prepared melon drink. This is a gem in historic Selinsgrove! Count yourselves very fortunate to be able to have such first-rate quality Latin American food there! And prices were extremely good!
UPDATE: My first trip to Deo's was a pretty negative experience (very long wait times with no communication/accountability), but wanted to give it another shot. Adding two stars due to the wonderful waitress!! I think her name was Sissy or Samantha I think. The entrees still took a while, but she was transparent about the wait and spaced out our apps for a better experience. We noticed that the empanadas and drinks are usually the tastiest items on the menu and come out quick, whereas the entrees take a long while to prepare. That said, I would just recommend takeout trying the drinks and empanadas instead of dining in or ordering entrees. You have to try the Jugo de Melon and beef empanada!
This place is fantastic! The food is different than anything else in area and everything my wife and I ordered was excellent. The flavors are layered and deep without being overpowering. The waitress we had was also very friendly and helpful with information about the area since we're from out of town. I often don't rate a restaurant if I feel it is already at the correct star rating. At the time I write this, Deo's has 4.9 stars. I'm leaving a 5 star review because 4.9 isn't high enough. Everything about Deo's is 5 stars, well done!
Tasted a number of different menu items and all were excellent. The empanadas are a must try! My husband and I were in the area for a long weekend and had dinner there our first night. It was so good we returned 2 days later. Friendly service too!
This place was a great find. Stopped in for dinner, restuarant is cozy and good ambiance and the staff was quick. I got the agua de sadia (watermelon fresca, terrific), the braised beef with plaintains (plaintains had that wonderful carmel crunch on the outside) and a carmal apple empanada. Would definitely recommend.
