Best Indian takeaway I had for a while, the delivery time was perfect. Never been able to finish the tub to myself but tonight I truly demolished it all. I would happily order from there! We decided to get takeout from The Shamrat and ordered a vegetarian set meal for two. However, we were surprised to see that we were charged more than what was listed on the menu. Unfortunately, the food was only lukewarm when we received it. To make matters worse, instead of receiving vegetable samosas as we had ordered, we were given meat samosas which we couldn't eat. Overall, we would not recommend The Shamrat for takeout, especially if you are a vegetarian.

I ordered takeout at 5:35 and it took nearly an hour for the food to arrive. The food looked warm, but I would recommend dining in at the restaurant instead. The takeaway service was disappointing and it brought down the overall experience. I would rate the restaurant an 8.

The food was absolutely delicious, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal at the best curry house in Southport.
