Best 5 star dive bar ever!!!! The staff and food are amazing, never disappoint, and I will never quit the Downer

Excellent local, slightly off the main highway. Comfort food done well in a local pub. Real surroundings, somehow protected from the airport vortex. My kind of Mom and Pop. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy entrance and access. Did not check rest rooms.

This is a very small, off of the main strip bar, with good food and great service. We were visiting West Sedona, AZ, and if you have been here, you know it is a very touristy area. We had been to several restaurants in the area, and they were okay, but we wanted something a little more simple and thought okay, burgers or sandwiches. We found Sundowner online, checked out their menu, and thought, okay, let's try it. We pull up, and it is like a small town bar on the outside with a private fenced in area with additional seating. You walk in and it is small and cozy. The young lady who was tending bar was also our server. She was very upbeat and extremely friendly with a ready smile. My husband ordered the shrimp dinner, and after waffling over what I might want, I asked the server's opinion on what was good and she said they were known for their burgers but one of her personal favorites was the Philly. There is a choice of chicken or steak. I went with the steak, and it did NOT disappoint. It is actually the absolute BEST Philly cheese steak I personally have ever had. My husband's shrimp dinner looked perfect as well, and he ate every bit of it. This is a place to go for something tasty and a welcoming atmosphere.

Absolutely the best five-star dive bar in Sedona, without a doubt! Make sure to say hello to Gina and the staff!

This is a true local's place where they all know each other. The service was excellent along with our burgers!
