The Italian hoagies were horrible; 50% lettuce, 50% filler ingredients. I switched to a hoagie place in Lansdale. For 10 years they were fantastic. Just recently they switched over to spongy grocery store Italian rolls and American cheese instead of provolone cheese. I decided to revisit Skippack Village this week and try the Old Fashion. WOW! PLEASE, DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING. The bread is classic Italian; crusty and chewy. The ingredients are in perfect proportion. The roasted red peppers make the sandwich. Just the right size. You have a customer for life.
I really do try to give my business to local and independent businesses whenever possible. Instead of doing the Wawa thing, I took some great advise and instead went here for a hoagie. WOW. Even came on a seeded roll. It was amazing, and reminded me of the Italian section of Philly. Also tried the stuffed peppers they sell in the fridge which are hand-made by a local person. Very, very good.
Wow! One of the best Italian hoagies I've had. Many items made on premises from scratch using quality ingredients. Each sandwich made with items that compliment each other and flavor builds with every bite. Great value for price paid with very high quality ingredients. The Turkey cheese is also fantastic. Try the roast hot peppers. Went back two more times during my short time in area. Will return. Great Italian food!
Average at best. A lot going on in the deli portion of the restaurant too much ****. The bread saved the hoagies life that I had not worth the
I've been to Skippack Village Italian Market a few times now and have really enjoyed everything we have ordered. The roast pork here is among my favorite roast porks anywhere (including South Philly spots . The roast beef and Italian hoagies are good though I do think the roll is a bit on the firmer side for my taste (the juice from the roast pork helps soften it up . On my most recent trip, I ordered the Caesar salad which was delicious perfectly dressed with freshly shaved cheese on top. One of my favorite parts about this place though is actually the take home options. I really love the quarts of marinara and soups look forward to trying more options when I return. Another plus you can order the food by phone while having a drink at Brothers Kershner (or order to go and eat while having a beer next door!
