Druthers Brewing Company - Schenectady

I was so excited to try the food/service at Druthers after I had experienced such a great review. Unfortunately, our experience was terrible. I went with my sister and two sisters and the service was terrible. The food was okay, but that would never be my reason behind rating a restaurant, I guess after service. I and my sisters are women of color and felt honestly forgotten by the waitress when she visited the other tables in a timely way. Even a table that sat 30 minutes after us first received her food. Then when we got the bill out, we waited half an hour for the waitress to get the payment. We went ahead to check if we might have to pay at the front, and then she said the waitress must collect the payment. So the waitress was informed to collect our payment, but we waited another 10 minutes. The only good service was the Lord who sat at our table, he was very nice. Other than that, everything else was a NO for us. If not returned, will not recommend. The waitress also had some attitude and needed some training on customer service.

This place is phenomenal! Excellent craft beer and the food was fantastic. I had the BBQ Mac, wow! Make sure you have a big appetite!

As for the food, I had the soy ginger Faroe Island salmon, which was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The flavors of the soy and ginger complemented each other wonderfully. Unfortunately, the crispy rice side wasn't crispy at all, and the mound of spiral vegetables was quite bland. My dining companion's enormous wedge salad was enough to serve as lunch for the next day. On the beverage side, the 80 Schilling Ale was a great choice. Overall, it was a decent dinner.

Probably the most pleasant Druthers experience I had. This location is absolutely beautiful, overlooking the river. The outdoor terrace was nice in the afternoon. Our server was friendly and attentive. And as always, food was amazing. Absolutely delicious. Guests can enjoy the opening of the Clifton Park!

During our visit for a softball tournament, we stayed at the Marriott just across the street and decided to try this restaurant based on Google reviews. It certainly lived up to the positive feedback! We dined outside on a lovely evening, and the service was excellent, especially considering our party of 11. The shrimp tacos were absolutely fantastic. If we're in town again, we would definitely return!
