La Unica Café - Schaumburg

The food was absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend trying the empanadas—they're incredibly flavorful and truly authentic. I will definitely be returning!

La Unica has been my go-to Latin American restaurant for several years. I've taken many friends here and recommended it to others, and I've never heard anything negative from anyone. My favorite dishes are the rabo de res and costillas de puerco en salsa verde. In my experience, the quality and portion sizes have always been consistently great.

This is a hidden gem that you might easily overlook if you're not actively searching for it. The menu is extensive—truly huge! I've only sampled a few dishes so far, but everything has been exceptional. The oxtails are fantastic, and the ropa vieja is also excellent! The pozole is very tasty as well. Definitely give this place a try!

Today was my first time here in hopes to have some delicious Peruvian food. I was not let down and had delicious Papa Rellena and plátano maduro/frito. As a Peruvian who has tried many different restaurants in the Chicago land area, I would say that theprices are good too. The staff was very nice too.

Food wasn?t that good. We got Colombian empanadas tasteless , Cuban sandwich the meat was old and hard to chew, I got sick from it and a Colombian chorizo that even tho was the only thing we kinda liked, was way too small.
