Fortunately, I came in the middle (a slower time), so I was able to ask questions about the meat and their favorites. Both men were friendly and so helpful. I went by Mona Lisa yesterday in my attempt to find a new place for chicken cutlets. Wow! Was I blown away on all fronts. First off, it was easy to find and there was available parking in the back. I felt comfortable walking through the short alley to get back to the main road/store front. I was immediately welcomed upon entering by three gentlemen, one of whom I believe to be the new manager/owner. All three were delightful and engaging as we talked about their amazing cutlets and as I kept adding more and more items to my order. : Everything looked amazing I couldn’t help myself. I ordered three sandwiches, a few lbs of chicken cutlets, eggplant parm, arancini and more. Everything was outstanding! I decided to bring 1/2 dz cutlets for my MIL to try, who I think holds the highest honor for best chix cutlets herself, and even she was thoroughly impressed! We talked about how fresh, how thin, and how perfectly seasoned the cutlets were. She even said, “You found a hidden gem!” These sentiments coming from the best Italian momma I know. Looking forward to my next visit to Mona Lisa for more!
