Pie Cafe - Scarborough

Will not be returning here, service wasn't great and the food is even worse. Would not recommend at all.

I have visited this restaurant several times and have never been let down. All of the pies are delicious and the mashed potatoes and gravy are high quality.

We found this small cafe by accident while out exploring the town.We both had steak pie mash which was lovely.

This cafe is quite unusual. To begin with, there are no prices listed on the menu. We decided to order two Pepsi drinks and the vegetable soup of the day. The Pepsi was simply served in a can without a glass or straw, and it was from a multi-pack that clearly indicated it should not be sold separately. The soup turned out to be a Cuppa Soup made with boiling water, and the uncut bread provided was moldy and lacking any butter. On a positive note, the café was clean. However, it's safe to say that this visit will be our one and only.

This small café may not seem like anything extraordinary, but it offers delicious options like pie and peas or sausage and mash. We decided to try the sausage and mash and were pleased with the generous portion and flavorful gravy. The pot of tea was also a nice addition to our meal. Additionally, we appreciated that the café is dog-friendly.
