Stuck way up one end of the "dead" part of 2 shopping centres, this café has to compensate by providing patrons with good value basic snack meals and good coffee. The café provides spacious laidback seating and tables with pleasant and efficient staff. A loyalty card system applies.
I found this place by accident while filling in time at Redcliffe, and was pleasantly surprised. The idea of all day breakfast and all day lunch is great - it offers choice and convenience. I was there for lunch and even though there were some economical specials, I opted for the Fisherman's Plate, which consisted of nicely done Flathead fillets, salt & pepper calamari, chunky wide chips - well presented in a little metal basket - with a salad that was tasty rather than just decoration. Together with a big pot of tea it cost me less than 20 dollars. I will visit again!
We visited Debonair for lunch. The Caesar salad was terrible. The poached egg was a solid lump. The crockery had lipstick on. Very disappointed.
Nice clean little stop for a coffee inside the shopping centre. Plenty of seating and a quiet corner location. Fair variety in the menu and the sandwiches looked good.
