Davis Point is just a mile away, and there's a water taxi half a meter from the restaurant. I recommend keeping your belongings to a minimum—pack light, ideally just swimsuits. Sunblock is essential, and sturdy sandals are a must. While the days can be hot and humid, the evenings tend to be cooler.
This is one of my favorite places ever... The 4x4 beach is fantastic pet friendly beautiful and for most part quiet and private. It is one of my favorite places to go as I am 16 years old, the regular beach is really nice and certain nights there are bands that play and everyone looks like they have a good old time not really my cup of tea, but looks like a good time. You can also in campers or tents beautiful views you can not beat and tons of waterfront fun. Amazing sunrise and sunset
Visited some friends who camp on Smithspoint; lived on Long Island my whole life and were there many times on the beach, but never went to the campsite... it was really nice in there and we ended up with a really great couple of days. The beach was empty, clean baths, websites were not too crowded and had no problems with bugs in the night I was blown away. Very pleasant experience!
For the first time, we drove on the beach at Smith's Point Beach! Make sure to let some air out of your tires because we're heading onto the sand! It was a bit challenging to navigate at first, but my husband handled it perfectly. The day was lovely, although the water was freezing cold—brrr!
This is one of my favorite summer destinations. From the lighthouse to the Sunken Forest, everything about this place truly showcases the beauty of our state. The beaches are pristine and absolutely breathtaking, each one offering a unique experience. You can see a lot of wildlife here, including deer, egrets, and crabs. However, it would be great to have public water fountains or refilling stations and more restrooms distributed throughout the island and communities. Additionally, having some form of inter-community transit, such as a trolley, bus, or tram, beyond just the ferry would be very beneficial.
