Restaurant l'Atelier - Sault

Food normal, employed unpolite Chef unable Bread of The day before Only meat was acptable!! Please Don't go !!!!!

Unfortunately didn't check the reviews before sitting here. Food was mediocare at best. Salmon fish was served frozen inside!!! When asked to take care of it, plate went back to kitchen and came back with a huge portion of hot sauce on it. Not even an apology!A place to avoid!

Having been advised that the restaurant was not the best in town but with all others we have not previously visited closed we opted to arrive at our own conclusion. Unfortunately we concur with our advisor. Some wit has conconcted a courgete mousse, a tasteless green lump served with less than inspiring main constituent. Remarkably the same thing appeared with the dessert and had not improved with it's change of status. A nicely decorated and modern facilty spoilt by the very poor attitude of the staff, almost rude, and most restaurants would be too ashamed to charge for food of the quality they served.One thing the hotel boasts is free Wi-Fi so we returned the following day to have coffee and catch up on the world, firstly told they did not serve coffee then the person we took to be the proprietor arrived and said yes he could make us a coffeee and using the Wi-Fi was fine, two coffees for 9.00 euros, most expensive Wi-Fi I have ever used and almost the worst coffee ever served

Friendly atmosphere, good local cooking, restaurant has recently been refurbished - haven't visited since it re-opened. Staff very helpful.

When we were staying in the Hotel Signoret in November the restaurant, L'Atelier, was being thoroughly overhauled and the food was being served in a small temporary restaurant. When we returned in February work was complete, although there are further tweaks in the form of new crockery and various other embellishments still to come. The new restaurant is light and airy and has some interesting decorative features. The new owners are full of enthusiasm and offer a very friendly welcome to diners and residents. The food was good and the local wines are well priced. It is also one of the few hotel/restaurants in Sault to be open all year round.
