Black-eyed Suzie's Upstate - SAUGERTIES

We ordered Thanksgiving dinner. Everything delicious. Pickup a breeze. Packaging first class. My concerns answered quickly. Will be back!

We did the family-style takeout and everything was outstanding. The online ordering was super easy and they take every precaution to keep everyone safe and distanced during the pickup. The food itself was amazing, the autumn lasagna was absolutely delicious and the rest of the menu has something for everyone, including vegetarians. I'm looking forward to ordering again soon.

Don 't go alone...because if you see an empty table on the back patio, they 'll refuse to seat you. 'Saving for friends and family ' they said. 'You could sit out front on the sidewalk ' and listen to the motorcycles. No food could be that good.

Black Eyed Suzie's is one of my favorite places to get takeout because the menu is oddly fitting for any craving, dietary needs, or occasion you could think of. As many others have stated, the standout really is the parker house loaf. It's so good I think about this flake salt topped treasure quite often. The employees are also very nice and they have an efficient system for takeout, although I'd imagine dining in is great as well. Seems like a clean place where customer and staff safety comfort are important to the owners. Saugerties has many eateries to offer, but don't skip out on Black Eyed Suzie's hidden way at the bottom of a busy street I think most people would really enjoy it. Excited to return this summer!

The ambiance and waitstaff were lovely, but the food for vegetarians was very meh . They charged $18 for a small, half filled bowl of a few leaves of kale and some chickpeas and rice..maybe a few other veggies, but seriously not enough food for this to even be an appetizer, yet it was priced as a nice, full entree. That was the one called the health bowl, it looks nothing like the picture they have up for this dish. The noodle bowl was a disaster, the noodles tasted either uncooked or day old, not sure but everyone looked at each other shocked when they tasted them because they were so bad and did not taste at all like rice noodles. Impossible burger was decent/good. I get the sense that the veggie options were created, priced, and prepared by someone who isn 't vegetarian and doesn 't understand what vegetarians want...we also like tasty and filling meals!
