Food was bussin. The food came quickly, and the server was super helpful and nice! The price is SO affordable.

Great food at reasonable prices. The goat curry and oxtail are both delicious!

I moved to Calgary recently, and nothing over there will compare to Jamaica Food Basket. Especially their oxtail. I have been visiting this establishment since they were located on Ave B. Wishing this business all the best. They deserve much success.

What a hidden gem! I stumbled upon this place at 11 PM while searching for food downtown. The oxtail is incredible. Make sure to check it out when you have the chance!

I do not recommend this place at all. Staff are judgemental and rude will follow you into the washrooms and treat you like garbage. The atmosphere is loud, the bathrooms are filthy, and more people outside then inside the restaurant, if can rate 0/5 I would. no one should be treated this poorly, even by reply, it is rude and unprofessional. Being approached in a washroom is inappropriate, if you were to own up to the wrongdoing and possible discrimination. I suggest next time you scold an innocent indigenous potential customer, tell them washrooms are for customers only before they slowly walk into the washrooms in an empty establishment. Or better yet, don’t even say that because anyone with a brain function knows if someone is going up a flight of stairs into a restaurant who’s sign is open is planning on buying from that establishment. It shouldn’t be automatic assumptions… as they come off as racist and judgmental. Was I not suppose to get offended by that…That is just not acceptable as a business. I was planning on an apology but obviously that is not going to happen because somehow I am to blame for the poor service. My intention was to be a customer, but after dealing with a screaming mean staff member accusing and offending me, I brought my business elsewhere. Talk about horrible experience.
