Greek Tavern - Sarasota

This restaurant offers delicious and authentic Greek cuisine. The service is excellent and the taramosalata is the best I've ever had. We enjoyed dishes such as saganaki, lamb, Greek village salad, pastitsio, and octopus, all of which were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The lamb gyro was excellent and the lamb shish kebab was delicious. The lemon soup was phenomenal and the service was great. You should try them, and don't forget to try the very sweet monkfish with Greek wine.

As always, the food was delicious at this restaurant. I started with roasted eggplant and pita bread, then enjoyed the tender boiled pork stifado with onions, tomatoes, and crumbs. The Ionian salmon with lemon glaze and grilled fish with bratkartoffeln was also amazing. My friend had lentil soup while I had the Greek salad. The service was great, the ambiance beautiful, and the prices reasonable. This is hands down the best authentic Greek restaurant in the city.

We are a Greek family visit sarasota from pittsburgh, pa. we found this little gem of a restaurant on google and we are so glad that we have made it! this is very authentic Greek cuisine, cooked and served by Greek. the lamb dishes, saganaki, filled tomato and grilled mahi mahi special were spectacular. I would not hesitate to visit this restaurant again when I return.

The lamb there is so perfectly cooked! Saganaki was good but oily. We loved how they light it right in front of you though. The best thing on the menu is the rice pudding!
