I ordered the Grand Slam which I believe the name was stolen from Denny's? Anyway, all of the food was good. The establishment itself is in disrepair and needs an overhaul. Probably need knocked down and rebuilt. It was very dead at lunch time. This shocked me after reading the history of this place and hearing word of mouth how good this place is. Maybe it is time for an overhaul, keep the same great food and fill that place up again. Waitress was very sweet. Very accommodating.
I've heard a lot of buzz about this little local restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The decor features an eclectic mix of old and new family photos on the walls, which is interesting, but the food was lacking. The scones were huge but incredibly dry. The dishes served around our table were also subpar. The steak was edible but not memorable. The potatoes were watery and tasted heavily processed. The stuffing was dry and almost crumbled apart on our forks. Both the roast beef and the chicken-fried steak were underseasoned and frankly not good. Everything was drowned in a thick, brown gravy that didn't help. We ate simply because we were hungry, not because it was enjoyable. If the food is supposed to represent good country cooking, as advertised, then I definitely wouldn't consider paying $14.99 for a plate. We won’t be returning.
This is a pretty little town of Santaquin. The environment is fun a d interesting, the service friendly, and the food was fantastic. We started with huge scenarios that came to food instead of Toast! I was just through and stopped because it looked nice. I'm back.
Historical and funny. The ambience is filled with old photos of the owner's ancestors who feel nostalgic. The food was very delicious - from scratch! The cones with the honey butter were heavenly. Our waitress was so friendly and told us about the story that is very interesting! This restaurant also has a sought-after reputation: they give tours on Saturday evenings at 9 pm. You pay about $40, get dinner and a tour through the whole place, including the cellar (there are 2). It was introduced to some paranormal shows, so if you are in it, check out this place!
Fun place with lots of history. They say it's hunted, but nothing crazy about our visit (too bad). The kids had fun and the food is good. The Scones are the right treats here I would go back every day for Scones. If you are looking for something else, this is a fun place to stop by and take a bite
