On the plus side, the pastry was delightfully crispy and showcased well-made laminated dough. The apricot-almond croissant leaned more toward a bread-like texture, but the halved apricot and Danish topping were quite tasty. The chai maple tart had a lovely buttery crust with a light, whipped filling, but I found both flavors to be subdued and underwhelming—I didn't taste any maple at all. The vegan breakfast burrito was enjoyable. It had a fair portion size and came with a side of fresh fruit, which I appreciated. However, the roasted vegetables inside were a bit too large and somewhat cumbersome, making them difficult to eat. The hash browns seemed to vanish completely and weren't crispy or noticeable. The breakfast sandwich was arguably the highlight of the meal! The croissant was incredibly crispy and flaky, the scrambled eggs had a nice golden exterior, and the bacon was hearty and flavorful. Unfortunately, the cheese, which was advertised as sharp, turned out to be quite mild and barely noticeable, preventing the sandwich from reaching its full potential. I want to give special recognition to the owner and the staff—they were exceptionally accommodating, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. While this bakery may not be my cup of tea, I encourage others to give it a try and wish them all the best in their endeavors.
The new location is absolutely adorable! It has the best bread in the valley, and it's the perfect spot for a mocha croissant.
I visited The Baker's Table during a mini vacation with friends, and I was pleased to find it just a block away from where we were staying. This lovely café and bakery offered a wonderful experience. I savored an Americano paired with a lemon ginger scone, which was absolutely delightful. I will definitely return when I'm in town again!
Food is pretty tasty. It 's the cleanest and freshest breakfast you can get in SY. The only reason I am rating it so low is the service. I 've eaten here numerous times and my food consistently comes out cold, undercooked, or just forgotten (yes, they lost my order 2 times now). If you have all day to eat try this place. Also, they dont have public wifi .
If you happen to find yourself in the Santa Ynez Valley then you are one of the lucky ones who have the opportunity to dine at The Baker?s Table. The truly exquisite croissants and plethora of other delicate indulgent and quite frankly addicting pastries are just one of the reasons we are frequent like three times a week) customers. I am not sure what magic goes into creating these amazing little pillows of butter and all that is good but I am in. Hit them up for lunch and try the Cobb Salad or a slice of the daily quiche special. You will not be disappointed. Oh they also have a great coffee bar but honestly I am just here for the croissants.
