Justin P. was very attentive and helped us very effectively without being nosey or invasive. We had a wonderful experience in every way. The food was amazing. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Chips and Salsa
We have been living on the central coast part-time for ten years. Beginning this year we are full-time residents. This is the best Mexican restaurant we have found within 100 miles of our house in Cambria. Actually, it is exactly 100 miles away, but we will be back whenever we can. No other Mexican restaurant in this range comes close to their quality. Both the food and the service were excellent, as were the Margaritas.
I would like to start by saying the staff is great, attentive, and professional!!! I rarely have a meal I wouldn't order again!! I ordered the albondigas soup this last visit and was super disappointed! I understand that it is meatball soup but I dont want to work to eat the soup. Corn? Yes but stick your fingers in hot broth to pick up a quarter piece of a cob sucks. Also says chayote squash and not one piece was a bummer. Bland meatballs with rice for a filler? I know a harsh review but I expected soup to eat with a spoon not like i needed a trough from my neck
I visited here on the way to a camping trip on Figueroa Mountain, and it was so good that I returned with my fiancée so that she could also try. This is a higher end Mexican place with chic cloth napkins, so do not expect a dollar menu. Service was excellent on both trips. Once you sit, they deliver chips with salsa and a southwestern bean dip. The salsa was quite mild, but they have a spicy version that is just brilliant with smokey serrano chili. I could eat anything. I had a steak death on my first trip. There was plenty of delicious steak, and it was covered with grilled green onions. Worth the price. On the trip I tried the Mol poblano tacos and they were pretty good. I think I'll stay in the future with their steak options. My fiancée had a steak enchilada and loved it. She wasn't so impressed by the chicken taco. It was good, just not her favorite. They have an impressive drink card, and they shaved over their blood orange margarita. Unfortunately, I was on the bike and had to skip them all. Next time.
