Dolcenero Gelato - Santa Monica

Gelato was very good! Employees did not have much emotions and were very numb-like. Its probably because we came at 10 and they just wanna go home and rest! But overall, very good!

The lady who works there is super nice. I tried their vegan chocolate ice cream, and I'd was delicious.

Their gelato is average. Service was so awful and no remorse. “It’s not a big deal,” was their answer to their own rude behavior.

Came here after an event for one of my sons. Which we were visiting from out of town.I came in and greeted the young Hispanic gal that was working. She was helping another customer when I was going to comment how beautiful she was but I didn 't want to interrupt lol. As She finished helping the other customer and began to assist me (Pacific Islander decent), my husband (African American) my son who is mixed with both. I began talking with the young lady and asked her questions regarding flavors and items. I noticed she was super short with us and very monotone but I chucked it off as maybe a she was having a bad day so I was even more nice. Being that I worked retail in my younger days, I can understand when sometimes workers behind the counter need an extra smile to know it 's o.k. Her demeanor never changed with us even though I tried to be more nice to brighten up her day. In fact she seemed more irritated and rude.Once we paid, my family and I ended up staying inside to eat our gelato. As other customers started trickling in, my husband and I noticed that the worker was being super helpful and nice greeting the other customers(white customers) coming in at different times as we ate our gelato. With an exception to another Asian lady that came in, which the worker changed back to speaking short and monotone with that Asian lady. My husband son made a comment to me after observing this worker on how she was treating the white customers non white customers. I was like Wow this worker is darker than me and she has the audacity to treat me like some trash .Very disheartening to be visiting in an area that 's so diverse and treated as if we were living in the 1950 's in Alabama. Get better workers! I mean I can get gelato anywhere!

Delicious gelato! The blackberry cheesecake gelato was so good! And each one comes with a small piece of waffle cone and it was yummy as well! The worker was very kind and patient with us! especially the kids which is hard to find! will definitely be back when we return to cali!
