Mariscos La Playa - Santa Fe

A few years ago, I would have given this restaurant 5 stars. However, it seems to have slightly declined in quality since then, possibly due to the pandemic. Nevertheless, it is still a decent place to visit. The food is good (although I miss the fresh tortillas) and the staff is friendly. Finding good seafood in New Mexico can be challenging, so I recommend checking out this place.

Horrible service at this restaurant! We waited 20 minutes to be seated, while a large table was already seated. When six more people arrived, a man from the large table simply added additional tables and chairs to accommodate the new guests, without any consideration for those of us waiting. Both the man and the staff were aware of our wait, yet they allowed this to happen without any concern for our experience.

First time here, customer service was great, food was amazing. I had the ceviche tostadas and they were very fulfilling.

This place was so good. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My drink wasn't even half empty before they'd come to fill my cup. Very friendly to my 4yr old as well. The food was delicious. We ordered oysters as the appetizer, I had the ballena sized shrimp and fish ceviche cocktail, sooo good and I'm glad I got the huge cup hahaha. My husband ordered the mariscada caliente and loved it as well. They have a small childs menu too. We ordered flan to share which was really good. Highly recommend. Next time we're in Santa Fe we're going back.

However, it is still a pretty decent place to visit. The food is good (although I miss the fresh tortillas), and the staff is friendly. Finding good seafood in New Mexico can be challenging, so I recommend giving this place a try.
