Piner Cafe - Santa Ana

Been coming here for years. Food is always outstanding. Portions are big. Service, although faces change, continues to be excellent. Parking is always a little tough, but manageable.

This place is very popular. The parking lot is small so plan to park on the street. It was full when I went in and full when I left. I saw diners coming and going so it's all about timing. It was my first time here but the staff was attentive and let me know constantly that they would be with me soon. Food- I only order one dish so it's not fair to say all the food is bad considering that they had quite a bit of customers. I can only say do not order the stuffed French toast. Although the custard is made in house it was mealy and the fruit topping was not fresh. It appeared to be frozen strawberry and blueberries that had been thawed.

The food was Sooo Good!!! The service was some of The Best we have ever enjoyed!!! The atmosphere was great!!! We both, (which is very unusual for us) had the walnut French toast, that was Outstanding!!! Along with a side of Perfectly crisp bacon as we asked for, and a side of sausage that was delicious!!! Parking was a bit of a challenge, but well worth the reward of an outstanding eating experience!!! We plan on going back when we can!!! ;

First time I'd gone there. The blueberry pancakes were fabulous and more than 1 person could eat! The bacon was scrumptious. The people who work there are amazingly quick, but very personable and responsive. And it's a cute older diner very fun to eat in. All in all, a great experience. I'm already planning when I can go back.

This diner is a nice spot to eat at. It's a good diner on the north side of town. The eggs benedict and country potatoes are worth the price and the rest of the prices looked fair. The ambiance is a bit lacking, they have advertisements on the table top and the building could use some sprucing up. It was quite loud. All together though not a bad place for food.
