Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

I first visited a “Gus’s” in South Haven, MS. I intended to go back the next time my travels took me back there. Imagine my surprise when I happened upon a Gus’s right here in Santa Ana! Their chicken and sides are as good as I remembered! The staff and management there are top notch. They have a great three piece deal on Tuesday.One warning they gave is don’t park at the adjacent furniture store! They may have you towed. There is plenty street parking and a parking structure a block north on Sycamore.

This place is one of a kind.Everyone should try eating there at least once in they're life. OMG the fried Okra is out of this world. The chicken is juicy and spicy yummy

Service was great. Price is good. Fried chicken was really juicy and crisp. I loved fried okra. Mac and cheese was also great. Overall really good experience eating here.

My third time dining at this place and I forget to take photos of my plate. This place is amazing. The entire staff is wonderful. The portions of food is worth the price. I love the 3 PC dark with two thighs and a leg ??? I substitute the baked beans and slaw with mac n cheese, collard greens or potato salad. Check it out for yourself. Finally after my 4th time here, they have the fried pickles! For those fried pickle lovers out there, these are absolutely delicious! But they don't always have them in stock. The chicken is very juicy and had a nice kick to it. The sides are also very good. My wife and I felt adventurous and decided to get dessert which was a slice of coconut pie with some icecream on the side. I definitely recommend getting the pie for dessert! I would love to give this place a 5 star but they don't always have the pickles so it's a little bit of a let down. Other then that, this place is really good.
