フィードバックを提供するI had fish and chips followed by a grape nut custard for dessert at this restaurant. The food was tasty. The only issue was that the service was a bit slow, but it's understandable given the current situation. There was only one waitress who was fantastic. She was very busy and working hard. It seems like many restaurants are short-staffed these days, so it's important to be patient and leave a generous tip for the hardworking staff.
Excellent pricing (especially off season) and excellent food. I did get to try the special Mezza platter appetizer and definitely would go back again just for that. The swordfish sandwich is unique and delicious. Far and away, my favorite bakedstuffed scrod that I've had on the Cape.
We visited here 9/14/22 6:30pm. My Wife and I have been to this restaurant many times, they have great food and great service. However we decided to take a ride on our Motorcycle last night and went to get some dinner at captains dressed slightlydifferent for motorcycle rider safety, and when we walked in they tried to sit us at the bar, (we don?t drink alcohol) then wewere seated at a table and for 35 minutes sat and watched other people come in and get seated and their food and drink orderswere taken, all the waitresses walked right around our table constantly, not stopping to even take our drink order. Basically wewere given a table and ignored. We ended up walking out quietly not to make a scene in front of the other customers but didmention what had happened to a waitress b4 we left. we?re just normal people but we came in on a motorcycle dressed slightlydifferent and were treated completely different than we had been treated in the past, if you ride a motorcycle don?t come tothis restaurant , We ended up taking a ride out to Plymouth to eat where our business was appreciated.
After visiting Captain Scott's a few years ago, we decided to bring my daughter and her family there for her birthday dinner. The restaurant was offering a lobster special, which my daughter and her husband enjoyed. Unfortunately, my husband and I were disappointed with our entrees. My baked stuffed shrimp was tasteless and rubbery, topped with a mushy buttery topping that seemed to be soaked in butter. My husband's seafood casserole had a similar unappetizing topping. Despite the poor quality of the food, we didn't make a fuss since it was a family birthday dinner. When I tried to bring in a custom birthday cake to celebrate my daughter's birthday, I was told I couldn't do so because the restaurant served desserts. However, I was offered the option to bring it in for a fee of $3 per plate. While $18 for six plates wasn't a huge expense, I felt it was petty given the total bill was over $150. Additionally, the spoons that came with the plates were dirty. Our server, Christine I believe, was good, but my family has no plans to return to Captain Scott's. We believe better seafood options can be found elsewhere on the Cape.
The bartender at this restaurant has a great personality, but the overall experience was terrible. Out of the three dishes we ordered, only one was correct. The gyro on the menu was supposed to be lamb, but we were served one with chicken instead. The scallop salad we ordered turned out to be a scallop risotto dish, which was good but not what we wanted. The restaurant recently went through a remodel, but there is a lack of consistency in the food. The layout and atmosphere of the restaurant are nice, but it is in need of improvement. It is a Greek restaurant, but there is nothing that indicates that from the outside. The menu mentions that the Chef's name is George multiple times. I may consider giving this place another try only if everything else in the area is fully booked.
