The Lewisham - Sandwell

The service at this restaurant was terrible, with rude staff members, particularly a blonde-haired woman. After waiting for an hour for our starters, I had to inquire about the delay as we were all very hungry, including a 2-year-old with us. It turned out that our order had been lost, and they offered a free drink to compensate, even though only two of us had alcoholic drinks. Another half-hour passed before we finally received our food, while the rest of the restaurant was already on dessert. We had only 30 minutes to eat a two-course meal before we had to leave. My Thai salad was dry, and when I asked for more sauce, the rude waitress brought me mustard mayo instead of the correct sauce. I expected our starters to be comped due to the long wait and rushed meal, but nothing was adjusted on the bill. After questioning this, the head waitress deducted £2.20 per person from the bill, while the blonde waitress continued to be disrespectful. I was appalled by the lack of customer service at this restaurant and will not be returning. Proper training is needed for the staff, as they did not notice we had been waiting for food for 1.5 hours while they were chatting around the till.

Fantastic food, service and setting for a family birthday. Children friendly. Thank you for a wonderful evening. Highly recommend it.

Spent the afternoon at the lewisham for my daughters baby shower. Food was amazing and service was excellent. Thank you for a lovely time , will definitely be back soon .

I have visited this restaurant several times, but my experience on Monday 18th was different. We had booked a table for 8 people at 7 o'clock, with 3 of us running late due to M6 traffic. Despite informing the staff and asking if they could hold off on cooking our meals, they were all prepared at the same time. The food seemed to have been microwaved or left under hot-lights for a while, as it was piping hot with skin forming on the gravy. Although we tried not to let it ruin our night, the staff made us feel rushed, even though the restaurant was empty apart from our large table. When the bill arrived at $391 with no discount applied, despite being told we would receive 15% off for pre-ordering, I was shocked and disappointed. My birthday celebration was ruined, and I urge the restaurant to update their menu online as our pre-ordered meals did not match what we had selected.

I went to this restaurant for my son's 30th birthday lunch on a Sunday and was welcomed by the lovely Holly. The food was fantastic for all courses, and the waitstaff were polite, friendly, and attentive. I will definitely be coming back again. I have also been for afternoon tea and dinner on a Saturday night, and you can't go wrong with this place.
